Call For Application: TonyWild Foundation and Biophilic Conversations Six-Month Conservation Photography Exposure Program
Overview
The TonyWild Foundation and Biophilic Conversations Six-Month Conservation Photography Exposure Program is an intensive, immersive mentorship experience designed to train the next generation of visual storytellers for conservation. Through hands-on fieldwork, rigorous assignments, expert-led sessions, and real-world conservation storytelling projects, five selected participants will develop the skills, vision, and network to drive environmental change through photography.
Program Duration: 6 Months Cohort Size: 5 Participants Location: Hybrid (Virtual sessions + In-person fieldwork in Kenya and partner sites)
APPLICATION CRITERIA
Eligibility:
Ages 18–35
Passionate about nature, wildlife, and environmental issues
Residing in or able to travel to Kenya (for field sessions)
Basic knowledge of photography (beginner to intermediate level)
Must commit to the full 6-month program
Application Requirements:
A short bio about yourself and what got you into photography (200 words max)
Motivation Video: “Why do you want to be a conservation photographer?” (Video should be less than 3 minutes; please make the video public or unlisted so that we can access it on YouTube, Google Drive or Vimeo link)
Portfolio: up to 10 images that showcase your storytelling potential
One reference letter (optional but encouraged)
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview
